My Students
On my campus, we have the most creative students. We are a Fine Arts Magnet school K-6. The students on our campus come from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. The administration, staff, and families work diligently to make our campus a welcoming family for our students.
We have a saying "Once a Star Always a Star."
Our campus is 68% low socioeconomic. We are always searching for ways to get our students excited about learning and their future.
We have future Designers, Builders, Artists, Architects, Producers, Creators, etc. who need only dream about what their future can hold.
My Project
Students will use the Dash and Dot robot as a part of the library Makerspace. I can't think of a better way to teach students the real life application of reading, writing, and math than coding with a super fun, cool robot. Dash and Dot will motivate students to be problem solvers. My idea is students will listen to books and then program the robot to retell the story.
Dash and Dot will make learning fun and new for students, while opening their minds to what the future can hold.
This robot is going to help my students be future ready.
