Coding Across the Curriculum in Kindergarten!

My Students

Our students are enthusiastic and have a love of hands-on learning. They are big thinkers, who are filled with wonder and ready to take on a challenge. Our students attend a Title I accredited school, with 60% of the students receiving free and reduced lunches. Bee-Bot Programmable Coding Robots would provide a unique, hands-on experience to our Kindergartener's that would not otherwise be available.

With varying needs of each student, the Bee-Bot coding robots will provide multiple modes for students to display understanding of knowledge and show what they know!

Our students need to be prepared for the world that awaits them and the technology that they will be expected to navigate. Coding and robotics are very much a part of their future!

My Project

Bee-Bot coding robots will be used across the curriculum and shared throughout four sections of our Kindergarten classes, reaching over 400 students in a five year time span.

With the use of Bee-Bot coding robots, students will learn coding skills for the future, develop perseverance and problem solving skills, and apply understanding of knowledge across the curriculum.

Bee-Bot coding robots are an engaging and exciting introduction to robotics and coding skills.

Bee-Bot coding robots teach many valuable skills that can be used across the curriculum including: problem solving, perseverance, estimating, sequencing, directionality, number sense, vocabulary, and more!

With 60% of our district receiving free and reduced lunches, the Bee-Bot coding robots would provide unique experiences and enrichment to the education of this population, that would otherwise not be possible.
