My Students

Ambitious, responsible, curious, sincere, hardworking. These are all important traits to have in a classroom and all of these words match the description of my students. We are a diverse class of 32 students with one teacher and work hard as a group to create an environment in which we feel academically challenged and take academic risks.

My students are very engaged whenever technology is introduced into a lesson or activity!

Unfortunately, besides a smart board and 1 laptop, students do not have individual access to these smart devices!

My Project

Nowadays, technology plays such a vital role in our lives. In order for technology to continue to improve, our students must have an understanding of how technology works. With our new computer science program at PS 173, this will help open the doors to a stronger education!

With the assistance of teachers, students will learn how to code robots.

In order to practice coding robots, students will need access to iPads or tablets, however currently we do not have access to this. With your help, we can not only learn how to code but will also be able to incorporate coding into various curriculum activities, such as math, vocabulary, and even literacy!

We are eager to start this project but need the help from you! Thank you for your support.
