My Students

My students will be walking into a place of learning, discovering, collaboration and love! Many of my students come from broken homes or live with their grandparents! I want them to be able to take pride in everything they do in and out of school. We are a small community which in turn helps create a family feel.

My students are anxious to be able to read books and create things on their own.

A majority of my students qualify for free and reduced-price lunches. There are a lot of issues in my students' lives that I cannot control, but I can give them a positive and loving learning atmosphere!

My Project

My students will be provided with materials to practice coding. Coding will provide many jobs for these students in the future! I teach in a poverty school, and my students don't get a lot of opportunities to try new and exciting things. I want to be able to offer fun, engaging ways of learning for them.

With your help, we can make this happen!

The iPad and Osmo Learning Kit are simple ways for my first graders to get a grasp on learning coding. This will be used in a center each day. This will be a hands-on, technology experience for them.
