Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our campus is a Title I campus. A lot of my students come from an economically disadvantaged background. We are also a magnet school, which means our kids are from all around town. My classroom is full of fun personalities, this makes teaching a blast! Having students from different backgrounds gives my class pizzazz! Every year each student has a special place in my heart and a special place in the classroom. I have leaders, followers, the funny guy, the helpful one, etc. Each and every one of my students are amazing in their own way and that's what makes my class successful!
My Project
My mission is to prepare my kindergarteners for jobs that are yet in existence. The materials I'm asking for are beneficial for each of my student's futures. Not only will I be teaching my students to code and build, they will also gain academic vocabulary, learn to read, and recognize numbers with the activities these materials offer.
Coding and robotics are the future of my students.
My students will be able to program the Code and Go Robot Mouse to go to different destinations and learn through trial and error. Botley, the Coding Robot, will help my students add to the robot and program it to do different tasks. Osmo Genius Kit and Marbotic Smart Kit will allow my students to use different technology to promote academic growth.
I want to prepare my students for jobs and careers the future will bring. I take great pride in getting my students prepared for the future. Please help me prepare their minds for what is yet to come.
