Code that Sticks: Using Ozobot Magnets to Spark Creativity

My Project

I am requesting your support to provide my students, especially my younger students and those with disabilities, the opportunity to learn coding in an engaging and accessible way through Ozobot Coding Magnets. Many of my students are at the beginning stages of their learning journey and face barriers to traditional coding tools, such as the need for advanced penmanship skills to write code. These magnets will help eliminate this challenge, allowing all students, regardless of their handwriting abilities, to code and create.

Ozobots are small, interactive robots that can be programmed using color-coded markers, but the Ozobot Coding Magnets take this concept even further.

These magnets let students build and organize code without needing to write anything down, making it easier for them to focus on logical thinking, sequencing, and problem-solving. This is especially beneficial for younger students and those with disabilities who may struggle with writing or fine motor skills.

By using Ozobot Coding Magnets, students will have the opportunity to develop critical STEM skills in a hands-on, visual way. They will be able to experiment, explore, and collaborate without the frustration of writing or block coding. This approach encourages inclusivity and ensures that every student, regardless of ability, can participate in the exciting world of coding.

With your support, we can remove the barrier of penmanship and make coding accessible to all of my students, empowering them to build confidence, creativity, and essential skills for the future.
