My Students

My students are very curious and eager to learn. They enjoy working together in groups and working by themselves. They have been introduced to coding and robotics for the first time this year and are super excited about it!

My students live in a very rural community and attend school where all students receive free lunch and many students rely on school-provided resources for success.

Despite our size, we are a very proud school where STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) are used to help our students learn in all areas. Our students are very involved in all areas and strive to be the best they can be, at our school, where we "inspire excellence in academics and the arts!"

My Project

Technology is slowly changing how we live and learn. We are introducing coding and robotics to our younger and middle students (kindergarten-3rd grade) to prepare them for the technologically-intricate world they will be living and working in later in life.

These robot and coding kits we are requesting will help students understand how to assemble things, how technology functions, and how it can help do certain jobs.

Students will also be able to gain collaboration skills by working in groups and self-responsibility skills by working alone. These supplies will help the younger ones have fun with simple "snap circuits" to understand electricity and block robots that are easy to assemble and fun for all ages.

Technology is more prominent today than ever and will continue to grow. Our students need to be able to build, work with, and use technology to be successful in the future and it starts with exposing them while they are young. They could be the next inventor/engineer that creates life-saving technology.
