Code, Create, Construct With Hands-On Stem Experiences

Help me give my students hands-on engineering experiences by using safe cardboard construction tools, Micro:bit coding kits, and plenty of cardboard sheets to bring their robots and inventions to life!

My Project

Introducing our new 6th graders to hands-on STEM experiences with coding and prototyping opens the door to creativity, exploration, and confidence. To make this possible, we need tools and materials that foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. With cardboard, Makedo kid-safe cutting tools, and Micro:Bit kits, students can design, build, and iterate on their creations while developing engineering and problem-solving skills.

By providing Micro:Bits, Makedo kits, and bulk cardboard, you are giving students the tools they need to bring their ideas to life.

As we introduce physical computing through Micro:Bit, students will learn how electronics work, build their own interactive devices, and code their creations to move, light up, or respond to their environment.

Many of our students don’t have access to these types of materials and experiences outside of school. This project will provide every student with the opportunity to explore robotics and electronics in engaging, meaningful, and creative ways.
