My Students

My students love to come to school each day. I strive to make it a welcoming environment that every child can learn in. We have built a community in our classroom that allows each student to be comfortable with who they are. Even though we are a diverse school, everyone feels included.

About ninety-five percent of my students are receiving free or reduced-price breakfast.

Many students are living with a single parent or both parents work full time, although many parents are eager to help in any way they can.

My Project

Technology is everywhere! Why not use technology to teach important foundational skills that will be built upon in future grades?

Students are motivated to learn when they are engaged in the learning process.

These Sphero robots will allow my students to learn how to code as they practice skills in math and reading. The robot can be programmed to go to the correct answer as students work on rhyming, letters, sight words, numbers, addition, subtraction, and so much more!

Coding is an important skill to learn in our technological world. When you combine technology skills and academic skills, students are excited to learn!
