I need professional coaching support to transform our current ML program from prioritizing pulling students out of classroom to including them in the classroom via teacher support.

My Project

I am requesting a year subscription to Elena Aguilar's Coach Learning Library and PLC. Elena is a leader in the K-12 coaching space and prioritizes equity, excellence, and collaboration. Her Coach Learning Library and PLC includes 48 Skill Sessions that prepare you to tackle the most essential coaching challenges, monthly PLC sessions to refine your skills, daily access to an online community and on-demand access to targeted coaching demos. I'll utilize what I learn during our district's PLCs and during my collaboration with classroom teachers. (THE WHAT)

I am requesting this because my district is trying to shift our multilingual learner program from prioritizing a pull-out model (students are pulled out of class to receive support elsewhere) to prioritizing an inclusive, coaching model (students stay in class with their peers to learn and teachers receive extra support to meet student needs).

Research shows that this model is more beneficial to student outcomes. This is because instead of me providing direct services 1-2 times per week for 30 minutes outside of class, I would get to support classroom teachers who get to spend hours with the student every day! (THE WHY)

I'm excited to learn more so I can better support some of education's most valuable assets: our classroom teachers!
