Here at at the our school we adopt the model We A.R.E. because we are so many things to our families. We understand a lot of our families that we serve are facing homelessness, transitional housing, or just struggling from day to day to make ends meet.
Many of our families choose our school setting due to social emotional barriers that prevent their children from attending a traditional school setting.
We work with these students and families on the skills they need to be able to function in todays' society, and part of that is helping our families feel good by being able to provide them with the everyday necessity we take for grated.
Families are able to come to their very own school community resource room and get the items they need with no shame. The goal of this project is provide families with needed resources and to connect them with any other services they may want help with! Our aim is to take the stigma out of needed and asking for help, because WE A.R.E. a village!
