it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the current school year comes to an end, I have been reflecting on how I want to improve my instruction for next year. While researching best practices for literacy instruction, I came across several educators raving about UFLI Foundations.
According to their website, "Foundations is an explicit and systematic phonics program that introduces students to the foundational reading skills necessary for proficient reading."
Furthermore, UFLI has tons of free resources on their website. The only thing I will need to purchase is the UFLI Foundations teacher manual, and pencils, EXPO markers, and paper for students to use during the lessons. I am excited to see what UFLI has to offer, and I hope to learn many new instructional strategies that I will be able to use in my classroom.
