First grade is a big year for development and growth! I am seeing an increase in essential skill needs with English language learners. My students need hands-on tools and games for a variety of learning activities.
Creating ways to engage conversation helps my English Language Learners with language development.
The Wooden Math Learning Board Toy would be excellent for working on number recognition, number sequence, and strengthening addition subtraction skills. UNO Card Game is a classic. I would love to teach my littles this game and adding one more way for number recognition.
Mrs. Woodsmith Phonics Blah Blah Blah Card Game is a fun way to speak, converse with peers, and use visual skills with first grade. We teach these skills and progress in the general education setting but, my English learners need ways to strengthen these skills to support development as we continue learning. Pop For Letters, Blends, and Word Families are exciting way to learn these much needed skills in first grade.
