Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students work towards mastering not only their high school diploma but college course credit as well! Our students have traveled around the globe including Egypt, China, Cambodia, Thailand, Slovenia, Belize, Italy, and Spain. On average, our seniors graduate with 30 hours of college credit.

Our campus is a phenomenal international studies community.

All of our students are engaged in working with community partners, studying abroad to expand their global perspective and challenging themselves with college-level course work. The teachers in our learning community are extremely passionate about preparing our students to become productive citizens of our global community by encouraging them to become life-long learners and take action about global issues that concern them. The school community supports our students and campus unconditionally, and we want to continue encouraging our students to grow.

My Project

Our government, history, debate, and Model United Nations students are so excited to be able to get a first-hand look at how the American political system works and the role young people play in our government. We would love to bring our classrooms to life by showing them the documents and touring the landmarks where history was made!

During our trip, students will use Washington, DC as a living classroom.Some of the many activities students will participate in include visiting major landmarks/memorials, meeting with members of Congress, attending Congressional Committee Hearings, and engaging with students from other states during educational workshops.
