Help me give my students the ability to improve the quality of our broadcasts. The mixer board will help us to balance the voices of the students while the headphones allow us to do that more professionally.
These high school students are excited to share their voices with peers as well as the world through podcasting! They have learned how to better listen to others and engage in meaningful conversations to learn.
One of the students told me the reason he wanted to be part of this project was so that students that didn't always have a "voice," like him, could be heard.
As a group, we have been able to reach out to other students, get to hear their voice, and learn to see them as individuals and not just another student they know nothing about.
My Project
This is a project that is going into year 2. We started small but now are ready to expand and make our broadcasts sound more professional.
We have found that this podcast allows students to be "heard".
We try to find special skills, talents, and interests that are not normally shared in a school environment, and spotlight those in our podcasts.
The students feel that the more voices we can make public, the better they will all understand each other and become a more closely bonded student body.
