Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
So what stands out about my third graders? It's their positive energy. My third graders are so enthusiastic and willing to try just about anything. You want us to sing? Okay! You want us to try dancing? Okay! We're going sing and dance in both English and Spanish? Cool! Sounds like fun! It's impossible not to be swept up by their positive energy and enthusiasm. My third graders are not little kids, they’re not quite upper elementary students, and they’re far from middle schoolers.
That means they still love their teachers and school and aren’t afraid to show it!
My Project
I am requesting inexpensive items for my students to have available at all times in the classroom. Right now my students are using binders, hardcover books or anything they can find for privacy during a test. The privacy boards will make it easier for my students to have at their disposable and use when they feel needed.
As flexible seating is proving to be more and more popular (for good reason), clipboards make more and more sense!
I am a huge fan of having students work in partners or small groups. Clipboards make this so much easier. Students can spread out and work anywhere. It also gives each student their own work space as well.
