Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The goal of our preschool program is to create an outdoor classroom and climbing playground for the students. The tree tunnel will be used for multiple activities learning about spatial concepts (up, down, over, under, besides, on, off). These concepts are part of the preschool curriculum and requires time to learn. By providing an opportunity for them to physically discover the concept, it will provide them another opportunity to understand it.

Children learn best through movement.

The alfresco climber will be used for multiple reasons. It can be used by our physical therapist to work on students balance and coordination.
