This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My elementary school is filled with students who want to learn, grow, and improve themselves. They set academic, social and physical goals to help improve them as an individual to better their lives the best that they can. My students come from low-income families and from tough home lives. Because of their situations, they don't get to experience that many fun, inspirational activities. School is the place where we can help them have life long, unforgettable experiences.
You are capable of amazing things.
This is something we want students to know, that they can do and be anything as long as they keep trying.
My Project
We have climbing ropes at our school but because of the budget we cannot replace two of the ropes that have been shredded over time. I would like to replace these two ropes so we have more time using the climbing ropes. The next thing I would like to purchase is a rainbow bowling lane set so students can experience bowling. Bowling is a very expensive but fun experience that our families cannot afford and I want them to have that experience.
I want our students to have the same memorable experiences without worrying about money.
The more I can expose them to in PE the more active and healthy they will be as they grow up because they will remember all the fun activities we did.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
