My Students
My students are an ever increasingly charismatic bunch, brimming with the potential to blossom in the theatre community of Oklahoma City.
These students are creating the magic behind the scenes of the productions here.
My students continue to amaze me with their thirst for knowledge, and their yearning to delve into cutting-edge techniques. We are in the process of re-making our program to meet the needs of twenty-first-century students by means of incorporating technology side-by-side with traditional methods.
My Project
We need ladders. Not only do we need more ladders, but ladders that can reach certain places and spaces our current ladders aren't designed to reach. When you don't have a functioning space, it makes it difficult to design or even create good stage lighting. It is dizzyingly difficult to build scenery to spec for productions that require more than a box set. Currently, our lighting positions are out of reach to our electricians without violating OSHA, BUT a couple of nice, tall ladders will get us where we need to go.
