This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have the best second grade students! They love to learn and play through hands-on exploration. We will use this weather station to add another level of exploration to our outdoor science classroom. Each of the second grade classrooms at my school will use this weather station to observe and interpret the weather each day.
This weather station will give our kids the opportunity to tell the weather using a thermometer, weather vane, anemometer, and many more items.
Second grade students will work to learn how to describe the weather and share with others. These materials will allow the children to explore real life weather tools, notice changes throughout each day, and understand how the different parts of weather come together.
Thank you for your help making a fun, explorative opportunity for each second grader at our elementary school.
