This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Culinary arts and climate change are deeply interconnected. Sustainable sourcing of finding new ways to create new recipes with salads and juicing for our new pre vocational program. Due to climate change some of our healthy foods grown in a organic garden did not grow as expected due to sudden temperature drops and no rain. We have adopt sustainable practices, promoting plant-based diets, and educating our students and school community to drink and eat with a greener diet. Climate change has effected our environment and it has impacted our food choices. For sustainable practices we are now making green juice and more salads to promote sustainable healthy food choices for the harvest that did not make it this spring. The pulp of our juice we decided we can also put in soups and rice and use our new recipe books to make new dishes Our special education students are in need of a good culinary art appliances such as blender, juicer, and even a bread machine for our pre vocational culinary arts program of sustainability practices we are trying to implement at which at this we need help in obtaining these items to teach how culinary arts and climate change are interconnected and what we can do about saving our crops by juicing and eating a healthier green diet.
