This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The kids from Refugio, TX have had a rough year. Hurricane Harvey took almost something from every one in this town. Some people lost everything they had, and school was the only bright thing that these kids got to have everyday.

We started the year last year almost six weeks later than expected.

The joy that many experienced on the first day of school getting to see their teachers, and peers was indescribable. Knowing the struggles these students have been through this past year, makes me want to make my classroom a comfortable, and positive learning environment.

My Project

The iRespond classroom clickers will be a huge asset to my classroom. This will help make sure every student is able to answer a question without just shouting out answers. They will also help assess who needs more help on subject matter.

Geometry is a subject that very vocabulary based.

The clickers will help make sure the knowledge of the vocabulary is understood and who will need extra help understanding. These clickers will help bring technology back to life in the classroom, and also give instant feedback on how each student is doing on a particular topic.

Graph paper and post its will also be a huge help in the classroom. This will save time on the students end. They will not have to continue to draw out their graphs.
