My Students

You can find all kinds of kids in my classroom! Serious, silly, pranksters, and quiet are just a few ways to describe them. While everyone is different, there is one goal we share, learning! Learning from the text, learning from each other, and learning about our community and world.

My students come to virtual school every day eager to learn and push​ themselves to be better citizens.

We hope that soon we will be back in the actual classroom soon, but for now we are doing the best we can online. I am so proud of how well the kids are behaving and showing respect for one another.

My Project

We are at the beginning of nine weeks, possibly more, of distance teaching and learning. Our district is fortunate enough to provide 1-1 devices for our students this year. Most of my students are doing an amazing job every day! I couldn't be prouder.

Distance learning does have its challenges, headphones and mice are two ways to alleviate some of the stress.

Many of my students have siblings at home that can be a distraction. Whether it's younger ones that want to play or siblings in school that are also trying to distance learn. Having headphones to block out audible distractions would be a huge help.

Since we are distance teaching and learning, we are on computers all day long. We are learning vast amounts of new technology like creating slides, working with mark-up applications like Kami, just to name a couple. I say we, because I am learning too! Having a mouse would help make the work so much easier for my students!

How will I get the materials to the students? I am going to drop them off! It will make for a lovely bike ride around the neighborhood.
