This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These backpacks will make going to meets more enjoyable for athletes. Kids currently are using their personal backpacks and while that is okay, it would be nice for them to have something they can use throughout the season. Buying 16 backpacks allows me to give every varsity track athlete a backpack for all of their equipment, spikes, jersey, shorts, and other gear for them to put in a location other than where they also have all of their school work, pencils, papers, and other school supplies. This may seem basic, but it is a small reward for an athlete that works hard year round.
