This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school does what it can to help all our students explore interests and new challenges. However, we are not always able to get everything needed and with close to 80% of student categorized as economically disadvantaged families don't always have the ability to pay for the costs that we can't cover. For my team, cleats are the item that is most difficult to get. Getting cleats opens a new world of opportunity for sports access to student.
This team is more than just sports.
It's a way to get girls working together with other true student athletes. Our kids are strong academic students who want to help and mentor younger students be better versions of themselves. Access to these cleats help them get on the field, but also helps them be part of a team that will guide the next generation of leaders in our school.
