The fidget toys provide students with helpful tools to manage stress, improve focus, and regulate emotions during therapy sessions. One student in particular shared that the octopus fidget spinner was his new favorite in my room, and while playing with it, he opened up about a trauma we had not previously discussed.\r\n\r\nThe books on trauma and suicide are equally invaluable, offering our students deeper insight into what they have and are currently experiencing. One student stated that they felt less alone reading more about trauma and knowing other people have experienced similar events as them. What may seem like a simple piece of equipment has transformed the way our athletes train, compete, and carry themselves as a team. Before the cleat donations, many of our players were wearing sneakers or worn-out shoes that weren't designed for the turf or grass fields we play on. This limited their ability to move confidently, increased the risk of injury, and, in some cases, even led players to doubt their place on the team due to a lack of proper gear.\r\n\r\nWhen the cleats were donated, the change was immediate and meaningful. Players laced up shoes that actually fit their feet and were designed for the game. You could see the difference not only in how they moved but in how they carried themselves. They ran harder, cut sharper, and played with more confidence. For many of our athletes, this was the first time they had received brand-new athletic gear—something just for them. That alone sent a message: \"You matter. Your sport matters.
