What may seem like a simple piece of equipment has transformed the way our athletes train, compete, and carry themselves as a team. Before the cleat donations, many of our players were wearing sneakers or worn-out shoes that weren't designed for the turf or grass fields we play on. This limited their ability to move confidently, increased the risk of injury, and, in some cases, even led players to doubt their place on the team due to a lack of proper gear.\r\n\r\nWhen the cleats were donated, the change was immediate and meaningful. Players laced up shoes that actually fit their feet and were designed for the game. You could see the difference not only in how they moved but in how they carried themselves. They ran harder, cut sharper, and played with more confidence. For many of our athletes, this was the first time they had received brand-new athletic gear—something just for them. That alone sent a message: \"You matter. Your sport matters. Your success matters.\"","fullyFundedDate":1742508792004,"projectUrl":"project/cleats-for-girls-flag-football/9134365/","projectTitle":"Cleats for Girls Flag Football","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Quinones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8977568_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740673379100","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8977568"},{"teacherId":8821129,"projectId":9018789,"letterContent":"I hope you're doing well! I wanted to take a moment to thank you for supporting my classroom project. Because of your donation, my students now have their own instruments, which has already made such a positive impact.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw their new instruments, their faces lit up. Many of them have never had their own before, and they were so excited to finally have something to call their own. One student even said, \"This is mine? I get to practice every day!\" That moment alone made all the difference.\r\n\r\nNow, we're working on a group performance piece. Having their own instruments means they can practice at home, and it's been amazing to see how much more engaged and confident they've become. They're really looking forward to sharing what they've learned in a small concert for our school.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making all of this possible.
