My Students

My student are amazing students who have made a few uncharacteristic choices. I have been given charge of students that find themselves in ISS. Each student brings with them an unique circumstance, but each are deserving of every opportunity to succeed. As an ISS monitor, I want to use my time with students as an opportunity to show them that success is not some made up construct that is unattainable. Success is different for each student. Students are given a safe and affective environment to study, remediate, reset, get one to one help as needed, etc. Most of my students just need someone to invest in them. I enjoy being that person.

My Project

It is important to make sure student have a safe, quiet place to focus on their studies. For the most part I can provide that; however, certain aspects of the environment can escape my ability to provide. Clean air is important to allow student to get the right amount of oxygen flowing to the brain. ISS is located under the stands in the gym. There are no windows and poor ventilation in my room. It has not been an issue, but before it becomes one, I'd like an Air Purifier.
