This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are like happy little sponges soaking up information ready to learn. They really enjoy learning and are ready to learn new things. Since they enjoy learning and I work in a STEAM school, I need to expose them to a lot of technology.
Since my class is so eager and happy to learn, I want to expose them to technology using photography.
I plan to incorporate this technology of them using devices to take their own pictures and learning how to print them for their STEAM lessons. Ever since the pandemic they became really computer savvy. I feel they are ready use a variety of technological tools to engage their world.
My Project
One of the things I would like to receive for my classroom is a photo printer.
Giving my students the opportunity to learn using a new tool will incorporate the technology and art aspect of STEAM.
My students will be able to focus on being independent when taking photos of their science projects and labs. I want my students to be able to focus on capturing the moments to help them remember the difference of their science lessons and comparing them. After comparing their science lessons within the academic project or lab they are going to work on to make their STEAM books.
Also, using this technology in our literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well when creating other projects.
The last item I would like to receive is a photo printer to take pictures to create projects and presents for parents.
