Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in an impoverished area of South Los Angeles. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.

They are already not expected to have it as easy as others, but we learn that with hard work and consistency, they can be "unique" or different from the rest.

My students are so eager to learn that it makes coming to work easy!

My Project

want to teach my students the importance of cleaning and maintaining a clean/positive/fun learning environment! My students have jobs and responsibilities in the classroom such as: table wiper, floor sweeper, librarian, sink monitor, breakfast monitor, lunch monitor, line-leader, pencil monitor, paper passer, etc. By incorporating classroom jobs, my students take ownership of our wonderful classroom. With the materials, my students will learn the importance of cleanliness through wiping down tables/materials/chairs/supplies, and washing their hands often.

Having all these essential cleaning supplies will help us stay healthy and germ free.

I truly believe that a clean and well-organized classroom environment will provide a better learning environment for my students! Furthermore, having disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, paper towels will help keep them germ free, healthy, and attendance will be better so my students only have to worry about their learning and not getting sick.
