Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in a large, urban city and attend one of four high schools in a geographic zone of choice. All of the daily transitions, 700-students-high school, and large community can lead to a sense of anonymity.
My Biology students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and are working towards a common goal- passing Biology.
Basic classroom supplies such as binders and headphones can make all the difference in unlocking the door to learning and ultimately the success of passing Biology.
My Project
With almost 200 students moving through my classroom each day, the desks get dirty. Having table wipes readily available means students can quickly have a clean working environment. With 200 students comes 200+ runny noses, and facial tissues run out quickly. I have selected consumable products that are sustainably sourced, setting the example that saving our planet starts with small steps in our daily lives, such as the cleaning supplies and personal products we use on a daily basis. By supporting this project, you are sending the message that my students' daily classroom experience is important and that you, also, care about our impact on planet Earth.
