My Project
Autism is not the only thing that makes our students special. Seeing the light in their eyes when they "get it" creates the special moments throughout the school day.
They require frequent breaks which often include snacks and messy art projects, so Clean Up Time happens throughout the day!
Our students are in a self-contained program where we teach social, emotional, and behavioral skills as well as standard academics.
Snack time and frequent breaks allow them to socialize and practice behavioral and emotional (self-regulation skills). We believe it's important for them to learn to be as independent as possible. I've seen their peers enjoy using electric sweepers and it was great! We want each of our students to help during Clean Up Time!
