My Students
Our school is a middle/high school in the urban area of Maryland. We focus on educating our students to become great leaders and citizens. Students are celebrated for exhibiting our school's core values: integrity, scholarship, citizenship, perseverance, and sustainability. My students learn best through real-world applications, hands-on activities, and authentic experiences. I teach students with diverse abilities, interests, and backgrounds. My students are in various grade levels, but they all thrive when they get to "do" science!
For the 2021-2022 school year, I am teaching AP Seminar, AP Research, and Independent Study: Science.
STEM/STEAM hands-on activities, cross-curricular projects, and laboratory investigations help my students to learn and apply concepts.
Having experiences dealing with research in high school will better prepare them for their future college and career choices. AP Seminar and AP Research allow them to explore themes, develop and refine their reading and writing skills, earn college credit, and so much more. Independent Study: Science allows them to explore topics within science that are interesting to them. I am so excited to be teaching these courses!
My Project
Cleaning sprays and wipes are used daily between every class to sanitize tables and other supplies that are used throughout a class period. This helps to minimize transmission of infectious agents like COVID-19 and the flu. These wipes and sprays are also used to clean after lab activities like dissections and other activities like chalk marker diagrams.
Cleaning products are necessary for a safe, hygienic learning environment.
Reducing the transmission of COVID-19 will help to eliminate the need for quarantine. These basic classroom supplies will help to keep my students safe and in school!
