I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom.
My students are an amazing group of 3rd graders who are eager to learn and explore.
They are living a growth-mindset philosophy, embracing the new learning experiences and challenges, and are ready to stretch and grow their brain muscle. Children are like sponges, ready to soak up everything. It is my pleasure and duty to help shape their precious minds to love learning and be successful.
My Project
Students at my school are in need of clean uniform options. Often, students come to school with clothes that are not sanitary. This project is to provide students with clothes that they can change in to once they get to school. Once at school, we can wash their soiled clothes and now the student will have two clean clothing options. Oftentimes, we only think about young children needing clean clothing. This project is directly to provide older boys and girls with a clean shirt and pair of pants.
Every student deserves to wear a fresh and clean set of clothes.
