Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at an elementary school in Irving, Texas. We are a Title I school with 80 percent low-income families. Disinfectants and warm clothing to keep my students safe and healthy during these rough and uncertain times is my top priority this year. Keeping a sanitized environment is priority.

My Project

Supplies like the disinfectants sprays, wipes and mask will help my class always be in top quality for students to learn, explore and inquire new learning. Kids need to come to school feeling safe, warm , comfortable and not have to worry about if the environment they are in, is clean. In addition, having individualize tools like dry eraser markers and stylus for students to use while learning will encourage them to love coming to school, rather than worry if they will get infected and sick in the classroom they come in daily for more than 8 hours.
