My Project
My students are very connected and concerned about our precious island home and care deeply about our local and global environment. They love learning about new places and ecosystems. They work well collaboratively and like to share their ideas. They enjoy science, Hawaiian studies, and incorporating art into many of our learning projects.
I've tried my best to create an inviting and comfortable space for my students to learn, but it is dusty, dirty, and hard to keep clean.
Spiders, bugs, and geckos frequently leave us presents we don't want. We would really appreciate having a stick vacuum to suck up the dirt and critters on the tile and area rugs. I've got three nice areas for students to roll around on the floor, but no way to clean them. Being able to vacuum daily will help students with allergies and make our classroom more inviting and comfortable. Students are assigned jobs, and I know being in charge of the vacuum would be very popular. A two-pack of filters should keep us going for a year or two.
