My class is learning about forestry, the water cycle, and about our planet. We are going to the next step now, which is a community service project to clean up the park near our school. The park is special to us because it is named after the man who this school was created for, the son of our school's namesake.
There is often litter and other debris over there and it makes us sad to think that people are not caring for our planet.
We will head over there and make it as clean as can be, once we get our materials. We don't want young children going to play at a park that is dirty and covered in garbage. We want a park associated with our school to be a welcoming place. We will continue to monitor the park and go clean it up whenever we see a mess.
