My Students
My third graders are energetic, lovable information seekers! Our classroom is made up of students from many different walks of life, regardless, we come together to make one supportive school family.
Our class motto is: "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." We believe in working smarter not harder and treating others how we want to be treated.
Laughing, learning, and standing up for each other is what we do! Having fun while learning is a necessity in our classroom.
My Project
Each year, it seems as if parents are asked to send in more items to help provide school supplies for their children because schools are allotted less money. Teachers end up spending their own money to cover basic supplies. Cleaning items (such as Clorox wipes, baby wipes, and Magic Erasers) are "extras" that are on every teacher's wish list but are most often NOT provided because parents are overwhelmed with the basic supply list.
Students should feel safe and successful, being in an organized and clean environment is one way to easily facilitate a calm learning space.
Receiving these items will alleviate the need to ask parents for extra supplies and the teacher can save her own money!
Colored paper is one of those "sacred, hard to come by" items that teachers use frequently, but always have to purchase with their own money. Important communication and reminders are often sent on colored paper to grab parents attention. It is also used in a variety of art projects.
