This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students get down on the floor a lot. Foam rolling to prepare for the day or the workout happens every day. Dead bugs, pushups, lunges...basically any exercise involves contacting the floor. We have a lot of foot traffic through our Athletic Training Facility. Every shoe carries a little bit of its outside life with it. That outside life involves dirt and dust, sometimes mud or sticky stuff. Our custodian team is perpetually short-staffed and can not sweep and mop every area every night.

Hearing the crunch of dirt underneath the foam roller is not exciting.

We want to give our students stretching and exercising on the floor a cleaner and safer surface with automatic nightly cleaning. The robot sweeper can run each night after closing, providing a clean and safe environment to protect our athletes and equipment.

Thanks for all you do to keep our classrooms growing...(and hopefully not growing bacteria).
