This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, hands-on learners who thrive when given the tools and support they need to succeed. In our high school chemistry classroom, we do everything from designing experiments to writing scientific reflections, and each student keeps a dedicated science notebook for their learning journey.
This project will help provide essential materials like composition notebooks and pencils so students can take ownership of their learning.
Items like paper towels, disinfecting wipes, and facial tissues will help maintain a clean and healthy classroom environment—especially important in our hands-on lab activities.
To help with focus and motivation, I’ve also included healthy snacks and treats. These small additions can go a long way in building community and supporting students who may not always have access to snacks during the school day.
With your support, this project will help foster a space where students feel prepared, cared for, and ready to dive into chemistry.
