This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The children at our school are truly amazing. They are faced with many challenges but are always ready to tackle the tasks that await them with smiles on their faces.
They come to school every day prepared to learn and meet new challenges.
They represent different cultures, however stand together as a school community. Our children and staff are dedicated to their education, but sometimes are met with the difficulties of lack of resources.
My Project
School uniforms make schools safer for students, create a "level playing field" that reduces socioeconomic disparities, and encourage children to focus on their studies rather than their clothes.
Some families cannot afford to send their children to school in a clean uniform.
Students often don't fit in because they don't have uniforms that are the appropriate size for them. Students often have uniforms that are old and worn out. By funding our project, you will help our students be prepared for school each day. By feeling good in their new school uniform, they can be comfortable and fit in at school! We hope you can help make a difference in our student's lives and fund our project. We are thankful for all donations!
