My Students
I teach at a Title I school in Virginia. One hundred percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch alongside facing hardships that they encounter at home. Many are from broken homes where there is only one parent, severe family illnesses, or their siblings/guardians are more so their caretaker.
My first grade babies make me smile each day and, with the right tools for teaching, they have the desire and ability to learn!
I am looking forward to building their background knowledge to help them become better readers, scientists, mathematicians, historians, and so much more to help them achieve their goals and go to first grade!
My Project
We need disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer and rags to keep our learning materials and ourselves safe and sanitized between each use.
This way, my students can still use all of our fun, hands-on activities while still remaining safe from COVID and other viruses.
It is my hope to provide my students with a clean and sanitized environment, using these products along with CDC guidance, so that we can have fun at school while remaining healthy and safe! This year looks a little different, but I know that each and every one of my scholars has found a home in my classroom and I want to continue to provide them safety!
