Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Have you ever been in a public school classroom? Between snack time, classroom projects, dirt from recess, etc our rooms can become quite dirty less than halfway through the day!
Having a vacuum and quick mop will allow us to continue classroom learning quickly after cleaning up, rather than having to call a janitor to interrupt classroom learning.
We constantly have a mess in the room from all the hands on projects we do with glitter, glue, markers, sand, plants, etc that these tools would benefit our grade level tremendously. Messy classrooms are a huge distraction for students and this would limit the additional distraction of waiting for a janitor, having to pause a lesson, etc.
Students are excited to receive these tools, they are already arguing over who gets to use the vacuum first. You would be surprised how excited second graders get to have a job in the classroom!
