I have recently attended a training on Math Fluency in grades K-3. After attending that training I was inspired to use their materials in my own classroom. These materials aided students in playing hands-on games in order to practice and become fluent in math. My students struggle with basic math skills, making it very difficult for them when it comes to second grade standards. These materials were made with Kindergarten through third grade in mind, having students scaffolded, but playing very similar styled games. With these materials I believe I can help support my struggling mathematicians and help challenge my advanced students. I believe these are tools my students need to help them become successful, fluent mathematicians.
