This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an adorable group of pre-k kids that are in a blended class. We have students in the VPK program as well as students identified with disabilities such as Developmental Delays, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Speech/Language delays.
My students love to play with all of their friends, regardless of their ability.
They are learning to share and that everyone is unique. My students work hard and play hard.
We spend most of our day on our classroom carpets with circle time and learning centers. We eat lunch daily in our class and also have snack in there. We have tons of spills, potty accidents and students getting sick on these carpets.
They are getting stained, and our last carpet cleaner finally broke after 5 years of use. I am requesting a carpet machine to keep our carpets looking good and to give my students a clean and fresh smelling play area.
