Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a diverse area, and my hardworking students come to school every day ready to learn. I love my students! They are hardworking, eager learners. They come from diverse backgrounds including various ethnicities and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. I use Whole Brain Teaching strategies in my classroom, so my students are constantly engaged in learning and sharing ideas with each other. I want my students to have all of the essentials they need to be able to love life every day.
My Project
My students need these build a word magnetic boards to practice spelling out words. Our centers are meant to provide students with just-right, hands-on practices with content I have already covered. Reading centers offer my students hands-on practice with skills that have been introduced and taught during our class. Plus, they are fun! In addition to center games, we need a clean and easy way to organize them. Right now, we are keeping the games in the boxes they came in. However, the boxes are quickly getting very used. It would be much better for my students to have each game in its own storage space with a lid. I am requesting plastic boxes to use for storage.
