Clean and Healthy Classrooms for Focused Learning!
Help me give my students hygiene supplies they need—like glasses wipes, Band-Aids, hand sanitizing wipes, and disinfectants—to stay clean, safe, and ready to learn.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher at a Title I school, I strive every day to create a safe, healthy, and focused learning environment for my students. However, our school does not have the budget to consistently provide basic, yet essential, health and hygiene items like glasses wipes, Band-Aids, hand sanitizing wipes, and disinfectant spray or wipes. These supplies may seem small, but they make a huge difference in a busy classroom full of active learners.
When a student’s glasses are smudged, their learning is blurry—literally.
When they have a small scrape and there’s no Band-Aid available, it’s hard to focus on math or reading. And when desks and hands aren't clean, it can mean more absences and distractions due to illness.
Unfortunately, these items are often delayed or unavailable through school channels, and many teachers like myself are left to purchase them out of pocket or go without.
With your support, I can provide a full class set of these supplies not only for my students, but to share with colleagues in need throughout the school. This project will help us maintain a healthier classroom environment, reduce disruptions, and keep students comfortable and focused on what matters most—learning.
Thank you for helping us stay safe, clean, and ready to learn!
