My Students
Our early childhood school is now in its thirteenth year serving the community. In our pre-k class, that means over one hundred and eighty students have come and gone from this classroom. Along with that, many other students have called our room home for enrichment classes, after school programs and summer camp.
Families send their precious children to our class every day, for us to help them take those first steps towards accomplishing great feats.
Our families are working-class parents who often work long hours to provide for their children.
Children make this room their home for however long they stay and miss it dearly when they move on. It's something we take pride in, and we hope to continue doing what we love to do and that nurtures their love of learning.
I've been teaching at my first and current school for seven years. No matter who enters through that door, they are part of our school family. I hope to provide them with the absolute best education we can offer.
My Project
The next school year will be historic. However, it is still uncertain how it will look. The best learning environment for children is in the classroom. However, we shifted to remote learning for the final three months of the 2019-2020 school year to keep the teachers, students, and their families safe. Now there are talks about opening schools come September without set plan to ensure the safety of everyone.
No matter what the new school year will look like, staying safe and healthy will play a big part in it.
Teachers have been in the classroom for 3 days and already red flags are up. The central air is malfunctioning and we aren't too sure of the HVAC system since it's part of the malfunctioning system. I want to put our parents at ease and let them know that I am proactively looking for ways to keep our classroom clean and safe for our kids. I am requesting an air purifier to cleanse the air and an evaporative cooling machine to help relieve our classroom of the heat.
No matter how the next school year will look, I still wish to provide the best and safest learning environment for our youngest learners. I hope you will help be part of history and make it so!
