Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I currently serve students who receive special education services in a moderate/severe setting. My students currently need support in daily living tasks such as personal care and we need a clean classroom to keep our students and staff from getting sick.

I am asking for help in providing my staff with glove protection to effectively and safely support my students in daily living areas of personal care.

It is important to have the ability to help my students safely to protect them, and my staff who are supporting. It is also important to protect my students and staff with other activities of daily living such as cleaning the classroom, or staff supporting students with their eating needs. We are looking to have sanitizing wipes to make sure our classroom and work areas remain clean.

Supplies needed to support them during this process include baby wipes to ensure students are entirely clean from using the bathroom. My students deserve to have the proper supplies that are needed for the toileting and changing of their pull-ups. Having baby wipes for them to ensure cleanliness and comfort for my students will result in better hygiene and supplies necessary for their personal care time that is not provided in public settings (i.e. bathrooms, only toilet paper).

Having these supplies will allow all my students, staff, and their peers who come to our room to have a clean and safe environment.
