This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine being greeted with enthusiasm, hope, bright eyes, and open minds on the first day of school. Welp!! This year has started a little different, looming in the back of every student's and parent's mind is worry. The worry of getting sick. With the pandemic and uncertainty the past 7 months, students will be coming back face to face. The school is located in a middle-class neighborhood, but the funding is an issue. Your support will help provide a much-needed air purifier and filters for a clean state of mind. Some of my lowest-performing students will work harder, stay focused, and have fun learning without worrying about germs or unfiltered air. Aside from the journey, your support will help increase their motivation which will, in turn, increase their learning.

My Project

This project will ease the minds of many students and parents. By having an air purifier in the classroom, it will provide them the cleanest and safest air quality possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, freeing their mind from worry to focus on their learning.

According to research on the Discover website, "Putting Air Filters in Classrooms Could Give Student Performance a Serious Boost".

Having a clean state of mind really allows students to be less stressed when coming to school. Many parents have had to go back to work and sending their children back weighs heavily. This will give them the piece of mind as well. It really is a win, win situation!
