This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students come from mostly low-income, high-poverty Spanish speaking households. They are part of loving families but are faced with difficult challenges both in and out of the classroom. With school starting out this year online these challenges will be exasperated since many of my students lack the appropriate funds to purchase the learning materials needed at home. It is important for me to provide my students with a challenging, creative, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate learning environment regardless of the platform used.

This school year we started out the school year using the 100% distance learning model.

This has been especially challenging for my students and families. With your generous donation, our families will have the added peace of mind knowing their children will have safe air to breathe when we return to school.

My Project

We will soon be returning to school in a hybrid schedule! I'm so excited to be able to see my students for the first time in person! Our classrooms have been set up for safe distance, hand washing, and sanitizing.

Having an air filter will give us an added level of safety and peace of mind.

We are all so excited to get back to school. Making sure we have germ-free air to breathe will keep us all safe during the hybrid phase and even when we return full time!
